SEVEN SPRINGS

From your selected point, you’ll be driven to the east coast of the island to the Seven Springs. The Seven Springs is a valley flowing with clear springs and covered with enormous plane and pine trees, a real oasis, especially in the heat of high summer. CHURCH OF ST NECTARIOS

Next stop is the beautiful Church of St Nectarios located on the way from the Seven Springs to Archipoli village. A big old hollow plane tree stands in front and provides the fun experience of being inside a tree. There is a fountain next to the tree with tasty cool water. (Stop Photos)

CHURCH OF ST NICHOLAS FOUNTOUKLI

We drive through Archipoli and Eleousa villages and visit the little Byzantine historic church of St Nickolas Fountoukli 15^th^ century. Inside is beautiful, the frescos are very detailed, and you can get up close and personal. MOUNT PROFITIS ELIAS

We continue the scenic drive from the east to the west coast through Pines and Cypress forests and visit: The Elafos Hotel which located on the top of Mount Profitis Elias (798m / 2600-foot elevation) built in 1929 during the Italian era.The building has a very distinctive architectural character, build like the traditional hostels of the Alps, with large, stone build walls in the basement and high-pitched wooden roofs. Mount Profitis Ilias is the second-highest mountain on Rhodes and offers wonderful views over the island’s Aegean coastline. EMBONA VILLAGE

We continue south-west and visit Embona village, the biggest grapes producer on the island. Here you visit a winery and taste the three well-known wine labels of Rhodes: White wine from the white grape variety Athiri. Red wine from a red grape variety Mandilaria and Sweet white wine produced by blending two varieties of Muscat grapes. (Stop Visit Taste Photos)

CASTLE OF KRITINIA

We continue to the west coast and visit the medieval Castle of Kritinia, (built in the 16th century by the Knights of St. John Hospitallers). Located just outside the village of Kritinia and stands proudly overlooking the bay atop a pine clad hill. BREAK FOR LUNCH AT THE SEA

Break for Delicious Snack or Lunch Experience (at your own expense)at a seaside restaurant at the Aegean Sea right on the water’s edge, with fresh seafood / Greek cuisine and excellent homemade wines. Back through the west coast with breath-taking views of the Aegean Sea.

BACK TO THE STARTING POINT

Upon returning to Rhodes Town, you may choose to be dropped back to your hotel or near the city gates of the Old Town for independent browsing. You would then be responsible for your own return to your hotel.
